Capture modes

Captorify gives you three ways to take a shot, each suited to a different job. Full-page capture scrolls the tab and stitches the rendered content into one or more output parts, visible-area grabs exactly what is on screen, and region lets you draw a box around just the part you care about. Each mode has a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+P, V, and R) so you can capture without opening the popup.

Whichever mode you pick, the result opens for local preview and export. Opening the paid cloud editor requires a synced capture.

Editor workflow

Capture and local PNG, JPG or PDF export are free. For an existing image, the free public annotation tool adds arrows, text and rectangles, and the free combine tool can combine existing images into one output. Neither requires a cloud capture.

The paid cloud editor works on a synced capture and adds boxes, ellipses, arrows, freehand, text, highlighting and crop, plus redaction and beautify controls. Separate public tools offer manual blackout and basic framing for existing local images.

Privacy workflow

For a screenshot that must remain off cloud storage, save it locally and use the free public redactor before sending the checked export. The paid cloud editor provides manual and suggested redaction on already-synced captures. Use opaque blackout for secrets and inspect the final file. Before taking a capture that must remain local, turn off "Sync captures to cloud" in the extension settings, or use your browser’s native screenshot tool. Saving locally does not prevent automatic sync when it is enabled.

Free extension capture and export do not upload the image to Captorify. Cloud-editor input is already synced to storage, which is encrypted at rest. Local processing and cloud storage are different privacy boundaries.

Export and sharing

Save a raw capture as PNG, JPG or PDF from the extension result page for free, with no account or upload. This local export is separate from editing an already-synced capture in the paid cloud editor. Local PDF export paginates long captures across A4 pages.

When you need to send a screenshot instead of attaching a file, Pro adds secure share links you can protect with a password, set to expire after 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, watch by view count, and revoke at any time.

Team workflow

Teams get a shared library so captures, redactions, and share links live in one place instead of scattered across inboxes and chat threads. Roles (Owner, Admin, and Member) keep control of who can manage the workspace and its public-share settings.

Storage is pooled at 20GB per paid seat, so a growing team shares one capacity rather than juggling individual limits.

Choose your next workflow

There is no single right place to start, only the one that matches the job in front of you. If you mostly capture long pages, begin with full-page screenshots; if the worry is leaking sensitive data, start with redaction; if you reuse the text inside images, look at OCR; and if you send screenshots to people outside your team, secure sharing is the place to go.
