Captorify screenshot extension for Firefox
Capture full pages, visible areas or selected regions in Firefox and export PNG, JPG or PDF locally for free, without an account. Turn off Sync captures to cloud before capturing anything that must remain on your device. Paid plans add editing and sharing for synced captures.
Step 01
Take your first screenshot in Firefox
Install from the official Firefox Add-ons listing, published as "Captorify - Full Page Capture Tool" by Infinitm. Open a normal webpage, then open Captorify through the Firefox Extensions menu or a pinned toolbar button.
The illustrations show the actual development extension in Firefox 151.0.3 on our fictional test page. They demonstrate the sidebar, popup and capture result; this is separate from installing the published store package.
- 1 Choose a mode
Select Full page, Visible area or Region. Keep the page in the foreground while capture runs.
- 2 Review the capture
Inspect the first and last content, delayed images and any warnings. A long result does not prove hidden panels were captured.
- 3 Export PNG, JPG or PDF
Choose the format, select Export and complete Firefox’s save dialog. Reopen the saved file before sending it.
Step 02
Capture modes and shortcuts
Captorify gives you three capture modes from the toolbar or directly from the keyboard. Full-page capture scrolls the tab and stitches the rendered content into one or more images. Visible-area capture saves the current view, and region capture lets you draw a box around the part you want.
- Full-page (scrolling) capture: Alt+Shift+P.
- Visible-area capture: Alt+Shift+V.
- Region capture: Alt+Shift+R.
Each mode has a dedicated shortcut so you can capture without reaching for the popup. The shortcuts match the Chrome build, so muscle memory carries over if you switch browsers.
Step 03
Local by default and free
Capturing a page and exporting it as PNG, JPG, or PDF all happen locally inside Firefox, with no account required and nothing uploaded just to take a screenshot. You can install the add-on and start capturing immediately for free.

With a paid account and cloud sync enabled, captures also upload in the background. Turn off Sync captures to cloud before capturing anything that must stay on your device. Local preview and export remain available if an upload fails.
Step 04
Pro cloud features
The paid cloud workflow provides an editor for synced captures, including manual and suggested redaction and browser-based OCR. Paid plans also provide hosted share links; Team adds a shared library. Recognition runs locally, but the cloud-editor capture is already stored online.
- Permanent redaction that overwrites sensitive content in the export.

Local capture and export remain free. The separate public tools also offer free public annotation, combining, manual redaction, English OCR, PDF conversion and basic framing for existing images without a cloud account.
Step 05
How Firefox differs
Firefox uses the browser sidebar, while Chrome uses the side panel. Both builds expose the shared capture modes; this does not guarantee identical output on every page.

The add-on requires Firefox 140 or newer, so a current, up-to-date Firefox is needed to install it.
Step 06
Firefox installation and limits
Full-page capture has limits: up to 100 tiles and 16 output parts, each at most 32,000 device pixels high. Review warnings and check that your last source row is present.

Step 07
Firefox’s built-in tool or Captorify?
Firefox 151.0.3 was tested through Take Screenshot, Save full page and Download. Its built-in tool saved a full-page PNG. Captorify adds Full page, Visible area and Region modes plus local PNG, JPG and PDF export controls.
The built-in test’s delayed image appeared after scrolling to load it first. Both methods still clipped the inner panel and embedded document. Captorify’s default Hide sticky elements setting hid the fixed header in its capture. Inspect your saved file before sharing.
The Firefox extension test verified the real capture and Export controls; its native Save As picker was not completed. The linked extension image is the actual result image, while the native PNG is a completed browser download.
