Captorify

Terms of Service

By using Captorify, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as plain as the law lets us.

Effective · 10 May 2026

Account & access

You may use Captorify under one account per individual. Free tier requires no account; Pro and Team plans require an email-verified account managed via magic-link sign-in.

You're responsible for the security of the email address tied to your account. Sharing access credentials with another person is a breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

Don't use Captorify to capture or share content you don't have the right to. Don't use it to harass, dox, defame, or violate any law. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, and to revoke individual share links, found to be doing so.

The free browser extension does not enforce content policies, there's no server in the loop. Pro and Team accounts using cloud sync or share links are subject to abuse review on a complaint basis.

Plans, storage, and feature access

Free is local-only and includes no cloud storage. Pro includes 10 GB of cloud storage. Team includes 20 GB per paid seat, shared across the organization. Optional storage packs add 25 GB each.

Per-capture upload limits apply on all paid plans: up to 25 MB per part, up to 10 parts, and up to 100 MB per capture. Captures that exceed these limits are rejected before upload.

If your organization exceeds its storage limit, new uploads and new share-link creation are paused until usage is brought back under the limit. Existing captures and share links remain accessible.

Our servers are located in the EU.

Subscription, billing, cancellation

Pro is billed at $4/month, billed annually ($48/yr). Team is billed at $8/user/month, billed annually ($96/user/yr). All amounts are in USD plus applicable taxes (collected via Stripe Tax). Pro and Team are annual-only at checkout; monthly billing is not offered at this time.

Pro is offered with a free trial. The trial length is shown at checkout. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial.

You may cancel at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Pro/Team features until then. We do not retain card details, Stripe is the system of record for payment information.

Refund policy

If you're not happy with Pro within the first 14 days of a paid period (after the free trial), email [email protected] for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are handled case-by-case.

Lapsed payment and grace period

If a paid subscription is not renewed or payment fails after Stripe's standard dunning, the organization enters a 30-day unpaid grace period. During grace, owners and admins keep read access to the cloud library, public share links are paused, and new uploads and new share-link creation are blocked.

If the subscription is not restored within 30 days, cloud captures and share links are queued for deletion and become inaccessible to users.

Account closure and data deletion

You can request account closure from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. On closure, captures, share links, sessions, magic links, and personal account data are queued for deletion.

Deleted captures and expired unpaid captures are removed from active storage within 30 days. Private recovery backups or quarantine copies may remain for up to 90 days to recover from operator or job mistakes, after which all copies are purged. Stripe billing records are retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Share links

Share links are generated with a long random slug and may be revoked at any time from the capture's share controls. A share link can also be set with a password or an expiry date; once expired or revoked, the link returns an unavailable state and cannot be reactivated.

While an organization is in the unpaid grace period, public share links are paused. Owners and admins can still view their captures from inside the app.

Third-party processors

Captorify uses Stripe (payments and billing), Cloudflare R2 (capture storage), and Resend (transactional email). Use of Captorify's paid features is also subject to those providers' terms. See our Privacy Policy for what we share with each.

Service availability & disclaimers

We aim for high availability of Pro and Team cloud features, but Captorify is provided "as is" without warranty. We're not liable for downtime, data loss, or capture failures caused by browser updates, browser extension policy changes, or third-party site changes that break capture pipelines.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Captorify's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Stockholm, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We post material changes at least 30 days before they take effect, both on this page and via email to active accounts. Continued use after the Effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
