How to combine screenshots into one PDF

Add your screenshots to Captorify's free Screenshot to PDF tool, put them in reading order, and choose One page per image. Use Split long images when a tall capture would become too small to read on one sheet. Open the downloaded PDF and check the sequence before sharing it.

Prepare the images you want to send

Start with the saved images you intend to share. Remove duplicates and redact private details before adding them to the converter. If you export a redacted copy, use that new file rather than the original.

You can add up to 12 PNG, JPEG or WebP images. Each file can be up to 20 MiB, with a combined limit of 50 MiB and 60 million pixels. Each image must be no more than 40 million pixels and 16,384 pixels on either side.

Build a sequence the reader can follow

Put the starting state first, followed by the action and result. For a bug report, this is often more useful than ordering captures by filename. Use the converter's reorder controls and remove any image that does not add context.

  1. Choose the files

Open Screenshot to PDF and add the PNG, JPEG or WebP files from your device.

  2. Set the order

Use the image list controls to put the screenshots into the sequence you want the recipient to read.

  3. Choose the layout

Select A4 or Letter, choose the margin, and choose One page per image or Split long images.

  4. Inspect and download

Inspect the preview pages, select Download PDF, then open the saved file.

Choose one page per image or split long images

One page per image fits the complete screenshot onto a sheet. This suits a sequence of similarly sized screenshots. A very tall image can become difficult to read when fitted onto a single page.

Split long images continues a tall source across multiple pages at page width. A page break can cross a line of text. Review the break and recapture smaller logical sections when necessary.

Check the downloaded PDF

Check the first and last image, the order between them, and any page breaks. Zoom in on the smallest text. Check that redacted values stay covered and that the original unredacted image was not accidentally included.

The converter creates image-only pages. It does not add selectable text, clickable source links or an OCR layer. The preview shows up to 12 pages at a time, while the output can contain up to 60 pages within the 100 MiB output limit.

Add context outside the image

A support or QA handoff needs a short explanation as well as the screenshots. Include what you expected, what happened, and the steps that reproduce the result. Do not put passwords, tokens or unnecessary personal details into that explanation.

FAQ

Common questions.

Short answers about capture, privacy, sharing, and billing.

Are the screenshots uploaded?
The free converter processes your chosen images in your browser. It does not create a cloud capture or require an account.
Can I merge existing PDFs here?
No. This tool accepts PNG, JPEG and WebP images. It does not merge existing PDF documents.
Does converting to PDF reduce file size?
Not always. Combining images into a PDF can make them easier to share, but it may not make the file smaller. Check the downloaded file size before sending it.
